Entry Description
Knox County – Friday afternoon, January 20, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Trooper Doug Francis stopped the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck for not wearing his seat belt while traveling on Niblack Road near Johnson Square in Vincennes. The driver stopped and exited his vehicle. As he was walking away from Trooper Francis he threw items down onto the ground. The driver was quickly detained and identified as Nelson Wesley, 47, of Vincennes. Trooper Francis searched Wesley and found a small amount of marijuana. The items Wesley threw on the ground were Xanax pills and two bags of methamphetamine. Wesley was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.

1. Possession of Meth, Class D Felony
2. Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony
3. Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams, Class A Misdemeanor

Assisting Officer: Senior Trooper Bill Gadberry, Indiana State Police
