Entry Description
Water Conservation Advisory for Clark County
(15 March 2012)—Residents of Clark County are asked to begin conserving water as repairs begin tomorrow on a 280,000-gallon water supply tank that was damaged in the March 2 tornadoes.
Water will continue to be supplied by the Rural Membership Water Corp. of Clark County’s smaller, 250,000-gallon supplemental tank. While utility officials note that the county will still have an ample water supply for normal consumption levels, conservation efforts will help in the event of an emergency, such as a fire.
Residents are asked to limit voluntarily any unnecessary consumption, like washing cars and watering lawns, until repairs to the tank are complete. The repairs are expected to take at a minimum of two months. |
