[INDOT] I-465 Lane Restrictions Tonight at Allisonville Road

Entry Description

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict traffic lanes tonight on Interstate 465 at Allisonville Road.  The short-term restrictions will be in both directions between the Allisonville Road interchange ramps.

 

Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, will restrict the right two lanes and then the left two lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-465 at the Allisonville Road interchange beginning at 9 p.m. tonight.  Crews will remove pavement markings and shift new lane striping to accommodate concrete barrier along the interchange ramps.  All ramps will remain open during these operations.

 

Crews will continue offline construction of the new interchange ramps at I-465 and Allisonville Road and will begin building walls next week.  The Allisonville Road bridge over I-465 is expected to close after Memorial Day for up to 110 days to construct a single-point urban interchange designed to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
