Lane Restrictions on US 40 West
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict traffic lanes this week on US 40/ Washington Street near Interstate 465 on the city’s west side.
On Tuesday, April 24, the left lane will be restricted on eastbound US 40/Washington Street. The right lane of westbound US 40/Washington Street will be restricted on Wednesday, April 25. Both restrictions will allow crews to paint the I-465 overpass and will last from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Crossovers currently place both directions of traffic on the south side of US 40 between I-465 and Glen Arm Drive, just west of High School Road. Both eastbound and westbound traffic have two lanes open in each direction. This traffic configuration is expected to last about six weeks as the westbound side of the road is reconstructed.
