I-69 Restriction Tonight,
Traffic Shift Friday Night

FISHERS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) plans an overnight right lane restriction tonight on northbound Interstate 69 at the Exit 5 interchange with 116^th Street and State Road 37.  The overnight restriction will begin at 10 p.m. tonight and will end by 5 a.m. Friday, May 11.

During Thursday night’s lane restriction, Milestone Contractors will unload temporary concrete barrier wall sections and place them in the area between mainline I-69 and the collector-distributor lanes.  On Friday, May 11, crews will be paving the shoulder between the northbound I-69 exit ramp to 116^th Street and the 116^th Street loop ramp to the collector-distributor in order to accommodate a traffic shift Friday night.

Beginning Friday at 10 p.m., Milestone will shift traffic exiting to 116^th Street and State Road 37 to the right as the temporary concrete barrier wall is installed along the left side of the collector-distributor.  The new pavement placed in recent weeks during nighttime hours will accommodate this traffic shift.  Some short-term stoppages and lane restrictions may be needed while the traffic shift is implemented.

I-69 is restricted to two lanes from Exit 5 to north of State Road 37 for reconstruction of a new double-lane flyover ramp to State Road 37.  Traffic exiting northbound I-69 to 116^th Street and State Road 37 is restricted to a single lane.  This traffic configuration is scheduled to last until October.
