Entry Description
Clark County- Earlier this afternoon, Trooper Paul Bailey and Detective Tracy Spencer, both from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested Candace Ramge, 31, from Jeffersonville, IN, on an arrest warrant issued out of the Clark County Circuit Court #2 in Clark County.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began on March 20, 2012, when the Indiana State Police received a call from a Clark County physician’s office about an unknown female calling a local pharmacy pretending to work for the physician, attempting to order prescriptions.
During the investigation information was received from several other Clark and Floyd County physicians and pharmacies involving the same method of operation. An unknown female caller would call in fraudulent prescriptions to pharmacies pretending to work for a physician.
After the investigation was completed it was determined by investigators that Candace Ramge had allegedly picked up at least seven of the fraudulent prescriptions called in by the unknown female caller. Candace Ramge was charged with the following charges: Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud with a Prior Conviction, C Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance, D Felony, (seven counts). |
