Nighttime I-465 Lane Restrictions

At Allisonville Road

 

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict overnight traffic on Interstate 465 this week as construction progresses on the new Allisonville Road bridge and interchange.

 

On Monday, June 18, both eastbound and westbound I-465 will have two lanes restricted between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.  On Tuesday, June 19, westbound I-465 will have a double lane restriction between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor for the $19 million project, moves construction equipment at the job site.

 

Monday is day 21 of the expected 110-day closure of the Allisonville Road bridge over I-465.  Walsh Construction crews are currently paving concrete driving lanes and constructing reinforced soil walls on the new interchange ramps.  At the same time, crews are driving steel piling for the north and south bridge abutments and beginning construction of the center bridge pier.
