Clark County-On today’s date at approximately 2:53 PM, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg received a call that an occupied vehicle was up against the inside barrier wall at I-65 South at the 4.5 Mile Marker, in Clark County, near Clarksville. When troopers arrived at the scene the driver, James P. Johnston, 50, from Brooks, KY, was seated in the driver’s seat of his Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck unresponsive.
James P. Johnston was transported to the Clark County Hospital via EMS where he was later pronounced dead.
There are no obvious signs of foul play and there was very minimal damage to the Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck. This case is still under investigation by the Indiana State Police and the Clark County Coroner's Office with the investigation focusing on the possibility of James P. Johnston suffering from a medical emergency. Next of kin has been notified. |
