I-465 Lane Restrictions
At Allisonville Road
Tonight, Friday

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict traffic lanes on Interstate 465 at Allisonville Road during overnight hours this week. 

 

The two left lanes of westbound I-465 will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, July 12 as crews from Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, remove metal sheet piling and backfill around the bridge’s center support pier. 

 

On Thursday, July 12, eastbound lanes will be closed one at a time beginning with the far left lane at 9 p.m., the middle lane at 10 p.m., and all three eastbound lanes will be closed at midnight.  Eastbound traffic will exit and re-enter I-465 using the Allisonville Road ramps.  All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Friday.

 

On Friday, July 13, the two left lanes of eastbound I-465 will be closed beginning at 10 p.m.  Westbound I-465 lanes will be closed one at a time beginning with the far left lane at 9 p.m., the middle lane at 10 p.m. and the right lane at midnight.  All westbound traffic will be diverted to the ramps beginning at midnight.  All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Saturday.

 

The Allisonville Road bridge over I-465 closed for reconstruction on May 30 for approximately 110 days.  Walsh Construction crews are currently paving concrete ramp lanes and finishing reinforced walls connecting the new interchange ramps to the bridge.  In addition to the bridge center pier, crews are working to complete the bridge abutments in preparation for setting bridge beams.
