Entry Description
Daviess County: An early morning crash has left a Washington man injured.
At approximately 12:47 a.m. the Indiana State Police were called by the Washington City Police Department and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department to investigate a crash that had occurred at County Road 150 West and County Road 300 North.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a Washington City Police Officer had purportedly been pursuing a white 1995 Cadillac Deville northbound on County Road 150 West. The driver of the Cadillac, Jarret D. Whitehead, 25, Washington attempted to turn east onto County Road 300 North and lost control. The Cadillac slid sideways and impacted the embankment that was on the north side of the road.
Whitehead was not wearing his seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to St. Mary’s hospital in Evansville.
The Cadillac sustained approximately $2,500 in damage.
