Jefferson County- At approximately 10:00 a.m., troopers and detectives from the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies, served a search warrant on a residence located at 64 South West Pain Street in Hanover. The search warrant was the result of a month long investigation into Christopher E. Chandler, 29, who resides at the residence, allegedly contacting a juvenile via the internet and by text message and during the contact allegedly sending the juvenile sexually explicit and suggestive text messages and pictures.

Christopher E. Chandler was arrested and charged with Child Solicitation, C Felony and incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail.

This investigation is continuing and the lead investigator, Detective Dan Elmore, is asking any other juvenile who may have been contacted by Christopher E. Chandler via a social networking site and/or text message, to either contact him directly, or have your parent or guardian contact him at the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles at 812-689-5000.

The Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office also assisted in this investigation.

All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
