Indianapolis, IN- An Indianapolis woman was arrested on a Marion County warrant on October 5th, 2012 and has been charged with three counts of forgery, one count of theft and one count of fraud after a five month State Police investigation.

Detective Roger Logsdon, of the Indiana State Police Crime and Corruption Unit, began the investigation after receiving information from the National Insurance Crime Bureau and the Farmers Insurance Special Investigations Unit that Nakita Manley, 33, of Indianapolis had allegedly submitted false medical records and billings to Farmers Insurance and collected $ 9,137.75 in insurance proceeds.

Manley reportedly used billing records from a previous incident and altered the documents to use in the current claim.

Investigators learned that a portion of the money, that had been intended to be used for medical bills, had been used by Manley and her brother in law to attend Kings Island, Indiana Beach, buy school clothes and a new bike.

Manley was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center.
