Clark County-Today shortly after 3:30 pm, trooper Nate Abbott observed a black 2007 Chevrolet Impala on Interstate 65 North Bound near the 12.6 Mile Marker, with windows that were illegally tinted. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and as he was talking to the occupants he could sense something just wasn’t right.

A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded approximately forty-six pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was located in both, the passenger and trunk areas of the car in luggage, a backpack and a cloth bag.

The street value of the seized marijuana is over $46,000.

Driver-Amanda Lucia Arellano, 20, from San Manuel Street, Edinburg, TX.
1) Dealing Marijuana Over Ten Pounds, C Felony.
2) Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams, D Felony.
3) Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony.

Passenger-Irma Maldonado, 46, from an unknown address in Texas.
1) Dealing Marijuana Over Ten Pounds, C Felony.
2) Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams, D Felony.
3) Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony.

Passenger- Male, Juvenile- Housed at the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on Juvenile Delinquency charges.
