Entry Description
Vermillion County—At the conclusion of an ongoing drug investigation by detectives from the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, two Clinton, Indiana men have been incarcerated in the Vermillion County Jail. They were arrested for allegedly purchasing Methadone, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, from an undercover state police officer.
Arrested: Perry Wayne Hollowell II, age 32, of Clinton, IN.
Charge: (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D felony
Bond: $10,000 and currently in the Vermillion County Jail
Arrested: Michael R. Murphy II, age 32, of Clinton, IN.
Charge: (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D felony
Bond: $10,000 and currently in the Vermillion County Jail
Just before 5 p.m. last evening, Hollowell and Murphy are alleged to have purchased (20) Methadone pills for $140 during an undercover drug operation being conducted in the City of Clinton.
Perry W. Hollowell II was arrested without incident at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon at his place of employment in Terre Haute. Michael R. Murphy was arrested without incident at 3:44 p.m. at the home of his parents in Clinton. The pair was arrested by ISP Sergeant Joe Rutledge and Troopers Jason Owen, Ty Lightle, and Tim Rader.
No further information will be released.
