State Sen. Johnny Nugent (R-Lawrenceburg) made the following statement regarding Gov. Pence’s State of the State Address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 22, 2013) — “Governor Pence presented his agenda for the upcoming year that focused tonight on the biggest issues facing our state—creating a jobs-friendly climate, growing the state’s economy and building on our agricultural heritage.

“Hoosiers in farming communities across the state understand the importance of agriculture to Indiana’s economic development efforts and I am glad to have a new Governor that is eager to develop Indiana farming to its full potential. We’ve made a lot of advancements in the past few years, but we’ve got to build on that momentum. I look forward to working with my colleagues at the Statehouse to best serve the state and ensure Indiana continues to be a leader in the industry.”
