Entry Description
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 8, 2013) – State Sen. Carlin Yoder (R-Middlebury) recently welcomed the following students to the Statehouse, where they served as Senate pages:
- Hannah Kemper, a homeschooled student from Goshen.
- Jacquelyn Kemper, a homeschooled student from Goshen.
- Luke Osborn, a Northridge Middle School student from Middlebury.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing some debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.
“As always, I am eager to have students from our district visit the Statehouse and learn about the legislative process,” Yoder said. “I encourage others to make the Capitol their classroom for a day and experience the General Assembly in action.”
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
