Entry Description
Rep. Kirchhofer to focus on jobs and education
STATEHOUSE – State Representative Cindy Kirchhofer was sworn in today, the first regular session day for the 2013 General Assembly. Chief Justice Brent Dickson swore in Rep. Kirchhofer in the House Chamber.
“I am honored to represent my community at the Statehouse. I am ready to continue the work we began over the last few years and make Indiana’s economic climate the envy of the nation,” said Rep. Kirchhofer.
State Representative Cindy Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) was reelected to represent House District 89, which includes portions of Marion County.
In October, the House Republican Caucus released their legislative agenda, making it clear that their focus will be on financial integrity, jobs and education. That focus was echoed today as the 69 House Republicans settled in for the upcoming session with a resolve to accomplish those priorities and make Indiana the state where Hoosiers have the ability to own their American Dream.
“Hoosiers around the state are ready to work, and our goal is to cultivate an environment that fuels job growth and expands our workforce,” said Rep. Kirchhofer. “Indiana will be a state that leads in the workplace and in the classroom so that Hoosiers can continue to have a bright future.” |
