| [ISP] Anonymous Call Leads to Meth Lab and a Stolen Motorcycle |

Entry Description
Scott County-This morning shortly after midnight, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg responded to 8006 Mace Road in Lexington, Scott County, after an anonymous call came into Scott County Dispatch. The caller stated there was a possible active methamphetamine lab at 8006 Mace Road in Lexington, IN. After troopers arrived at the residence and were speaking to one of the occupants they could smell a strong chemical odor coming from inside. A subsequent search of the residence revealed remnants of a methamphetamine lab, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia. While the search was being conducted troopers also located a stolen, 2006 Honda motorcycle in the basement of the home being disassembled and repainted. The motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Scott County in November of 2012.
Arrested and Charges:
*James I. Golden, 28, 8006 Mace Road, Lexington, IN
1) Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
2) Possession of Methamphetamine.
3) Possession of Paraphernalia.
4) Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
*Barry R. Wicker, 34, Lexington, IN
1) Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Both subjects were incarcerated in the Scott County Jail. The Scott County Sheriff's Department assisted in the investigation.
All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
