Rep. Ziemke thanks National FFA Organization
STATEHOUSE - State Representative Cindy Ziemke (R-Batesville) was pleased to see students from the National FFA Organization visit today during session to kick off National FFA week, celebrating more than 80 years of service.
The General Assembly hosted more than 100 FFA members at the Statehouse. The students took a tour, met key leadership and participated in both the House and Senate Page Programs, allowing them to get a first-hand look at the legislative process.
“I truly appreciate these students coming to the Statehouse today,” said Rep. Ziemke. “These young people are the future of Hoosier agriculture, and I know it will be a bright one. I fully support the National FFA Organization and love to follow what they’re doing in our community.”
Kenzi Dubois, Tessa Hoeing, Kaleb Kramer and Jill Yager paged for Rep. Ziemke and had the opportunity to work closely with her and her colleagues.
Indiana’s National FFA Organization chapters contribute to many communities in Indiana. They raise more than $600,000 annually to support student leadership activities, career development events and scholarships.
