Lt. Governor Ellspermann Awards a
$50,000 Planning Grant to Cass County
Indianapolis – Lt. Governor Ellspermann has awarded a $50,000 planning grant to Cass County to fund a Master Utility Study through the state’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
“Planning grants are an important first step as communities consider the best way to attract new businesses,” said Lt. Governor Ellspermann. “Cass County continues its efforts to improve services for its residents, and we’re pleased to be able to support their grant request.”
The planning grant for Cass County will be used to address future service needs regarding water, waste water, and storm water in the unincorporated community of Clymers.
The funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which has proven to be an effective tool for community-based planning and research initiatives. The CDBG program is administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
