Entry Description
LaGrange County, IN-One of LaGrange County's most wanted felons was arrested earlier this afternoon by members of the Indiana State Police's Anti-Crime Enforcement (A.C.E.) Team and Meth Suppression Section from the Fort Wayne District.
According to Trooper Brian Kreger, an anonymous tip providing the whereabouts of 32-year-old Steven Wade Hudson was called in to the Fort Wayne Indiana State Police post. Hudson was wanted for dealing methamphetamine, a Class A Felony out of LaGrange County and for battery, a Class A Misdemeanor out of Noble County.
Acting on the tip, Kreger along with Troopers Nicholas Hoffman and Mike Carroll from the A.C.E. Team and Troopers Andy Smith and Tim Myers from the Meth Suppression Section mobilized and at approximately 2:00 p.m., descended on a residence in the 7700 block of east 750 North in rural Howe.
Kreger met the 49-year-old homeowner and his 33-year-old female friend both of whom indicated that Hudson was not in the residence, but was soon to return. The troopers waited out of sight and just before 3:00 p.m., watched as Hudson returned and entered the residence. It was there that he was taken into custody without incident. Hudson allegedly had approximately two grams of meth on his person at the time of the arrest and it was also alleged that there was meth, precursors and paraphernalia inside of the residence. Hudson was incarcerated in the LaGrange County Jail without bond. The case involving the man and the woman is ongoing and will be forwarded to the LaGrange County Prosecutor's Office for review.
Kreger said that the IMAGE Drug Task Force worked the case for which the charges against Hudson stemmed. The LaGrange County Sheriff Department also assisted troopers during their investigation.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
