Entry Description
Rushville – Today a lengthy investigation culminated in the conviction of a former Rushville Police Officer. The case began in August 2012 when the Rushville City Police Department contacted Pendleton District Investigators. They requested an investigation into allegations that one of their officers had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage juvenile female.
Today Cale Worley, age 28, plead guilty to Official Misconduct, Class “D” Felony, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Class “A” Misdemeanor. In addition to his plea, his credentials and certifications to be a police officer and EMT have been revoked in the State of Indiana. The plea is a result of a several months long investigation with state police investigators working closely with the Rush County Prosecutor’s Office and the Rushville Police Department.
Worley had been the the former DARE officer for the Rushville City Police Department and worked in the Rushville Community Schools. He allegedly met with the female after hours and communicated with her by text message and Facebook. Worley resigned his position as an officer in August at the beginning of the investigation. |
