STATEHOUSE (March 15, 2013) – State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) recently welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse, where they served as Senate pages:
• Grace Cupka, from Plymouth, attends Plymouth High School.

• Sabrina Haines, from Plymouth, attends Plymouth High School.
• Jacob Bennitt, from Bremen, attends Bremen High School.
• Rachel Rettig, from Plymouth, attends Plymouth High School.

• Emily Sheets, from Napanee, attends Northwood High School.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing some debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.
“The page program is a really great experience for students,” Mishler said. “One of my first experiences learning about state government was when I paged as a student. It’s a great way to find out how government works on a day-to-day basis.”
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
