STATEHOUSE (March 19, 2013) – State Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso) recently welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse, where they served as Senate pages:
• Eric Noe, from Valparaiso, attends Chesterton High School.
• Isaak Holcomb, from Plymouth, attends Lincoln Jr. High School.
• Will Johnston, from Plymouth, attends Lincoln Jr. High School.
• Eric Hess, from Valparaiso, attends Valparaiso High School.
• Nathan Courtaney, from Valparaiso, attends Valparaiso High School.
• Ally Runnion, from Valparaiso, attends Valparaiso High School.
• MaKenna Cottrell, from Knox, attends Knox High School.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing some debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.
“Paging is a great way for students to learn about the legislative process,” Charbonneau said. “Any student interested in state government should consider this opportunity to visit the statehouse.”
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
