[DNR] Wild Afternoon Tea at Paynetown SRA, Jan. 14

Entry Description
Monroe Lake is hosting an afternoon tea party Jan. 14 that promises to be wild.

Wild Afternoon Tea runs from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Paynetown Activity Center. Naturalist Jill Vance will lead participants in sampling tea varieties made from native plants at Monroe Lake.

As tea is served, Vance will discuss plant habitat, identification, harvest, and preparation. Light snacks are included.
 
Vance said she looks forward to sharing her passion for both nature and food, and especially wild food, with participants at the tea.
 
Wild Afternoon Tea is limited to 10 people and costs $5 per person. Advance registration is required by Jan. 10 to the Paynetown Activity Center at (812) 837-9967.
 
Paynetown SRA on Monroe Lake (stateparks.IN.gov/2954.htm) is at 4850 South State Road 446, Bloomington, 47401. There is no entrance fee charged during winter.
