Entry Description

Bloomington – The Commander of the Bloomington Indiana State Police Post, Paul Bucher presented Trooper Josh Allen with the Bloomington District “Trooper of the Year Award” for 2013. The award was presented before his fellow Troopers at a recent District Meeting.

The plaque Trooper Allen received reads, “Presented to the Trooper who has achieved outstanding enforcement efforts in the areas of traffic enforcement, criminal enforcement, public service and who has exemplified the character expected of an Indiana State Trooper”.

Lt. Bucher stated, “Trooper Allen is an asset to the citizens of Indiana and to the Indiana State Police Department. Trooper Allen is very deserving of this award.”

Trooper Josh Allen graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School and Indiana University. He currently serves on the Meth Suppression Unit at the Bloomington District which serves Monroe, Owen, Greene, Lawrence, Brown and Morgan Counties.
