[ISP] Traffic Stop Nets Marijuana, Paraphernalia

Entry Description

Pike County: A Monday traffic stop resulted in the arrest of an Evansville man for narcotics charges.

At approximately 9:14 Monday morning, Trooper Jarrod Lents was patrolling Interstate 69 near the 52 mile marker, when he observed a speeding Mazda traveling northbound. Trooper Lents stopped the vehicle, and upon reaching the driver’s window, smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The driver, Ebon D. Wolf, 20, Evansville, immediately admitted that he was wanted out of Vanderburgh County for a traffic offense.

A search of the Mazda resulted in the discovery of 55 grams of marijuana and numerous paraphernalia items. Wolf was arrested and transported, without incident, to the Pike County Jail.
