Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Register for a three day “career camp” for children fascinated with fossils who want to experience the glimpse into the life and work of a paleontologist. Indiana State Park educator and paleontologist Alan Goldstein and paleontology professor Kate Bulinski, PhD will guide participants through three memorable days.

The camp includes two off-site collecting trips, and participants will be able to keep what they find on these trips. The adult(s) participating with each child must transport them to the off-site collecting trips on Wednesday and Thursday (usually 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.).

For this in-depth camp, participants must meet these criteria:
1) Children are between 12 - 16 years old as of July 1.
2) Parent, grandparent or legal guardian will agree to actively participate with the child for the duration of the camp.
3) Child must have a interest in fossils for at least 2 years prior to this camp.
4) Prefer that child has a career goal in paleontology and/or has their own fossil collection.

The child/adult’s registration form must include a hand-written paragraph explaining why the child wants to attend. Priority will be given to first-time participants. Registration is limited to 10 child/adult pairs.

Day camps are sponsored by The Falls of the Ohio Foundation and Falls of the Ohio State Park Interpretive Center. Falls of the Ohio Members receive a 10% discount.
