Indianapolis – Governor Mike Pence today sent the attached letter to the State Board of Education, requesting they assist the Indiana Department of Education as the department works to preserve the state’s education waiver. The letter follows the release of the U.S. Department of Education’s Part B Monitoring Report of Indiana’s Waiver for Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility, found at, which makes Indiana’s waiver conditional for 60 days, pending a comprehensive remediation plan to correct the nine issues of non-compliance cited in the report.
