U.S. 31 Northbound Lane closure Thursday at Tipton-Howard County Line

Entry Description

KOKOMO, Ind.–The Indiana Department of Transportation will close the left lane of northbound U.S. Highway 31 at the Howard-Tipton County line during daylight hours this Thursday to provide space for construction work in the roadway’s median area. 

 

INDOT will route northbound traffic to the right lane-only between Tipton County Road 550 North and Howard County Road 500 South. 

 

Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, plans to build a foundation pad upon which a construction crane will be placed in the near future for setting beams at the C.R. 600N bridge.

 

Traffic restrictions begin at 7:30 a.m.  They will be lifted by 3 p.m.
