MARION, Ind. (December 13, 2012)—The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Jeremy Soultz has been appointed local director of the Grant Co. office of DCS. In his new role Jeremy will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, he’ll oversee a team of 23 that includes family case managers, supervisors and clerical staff. He’ll also handle general office operations.
“We’re pleased Jeremy will be managing day-to-day operations in Grant County,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “His practical experience working with abused and neglected children as well as his supervisory know-how will help Jeremy to be a true leader and serve his county well.”
Jeremy began his child services career as a family case manager in the Grant Co. DCS office in 2003. In 2005 he transferred to Delaware Co. and continued working as a case manager until 2007 when he was promoted to family case manager supervisor. He assumed the director’s position in the Tipton Co. office of DCS in 2009 where he worked until his recent appointment to director of Grant Co.
A life-long Grant Co. resident, Jeremy was born in Marion and spent his childhood in nearby Jonesboro and Gas City. He is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie.
Jeremy began his new duties December 3.
