State Sen. Sue Glick (R-LaGrange) made the following statement
regarding Lake Area Designs’ decision to move its operations to LaGrange:

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 6, 2013) — “We welcome Lake Area Designs to our community.

“As too many Hoosiers struggle with being unemployed or underemployed, it’s great to see another company choosing LaGrange. With our labor force and resources, it’s my belief we will see similar developments in other industries over the next few years.”

Lake Area Designs announced plans this week to relocate its operations from Sturgis, Mich., to LaGrange, generating up to 34 new jobs by 2016. The company produces wood furniture and molding for the RV, manufacturing, residential and commercial sectors. More than 83 percent of all American-made RVs are produced in Indiana.
