Entry Description

The Indiana State Library is hosting its 8th-Annual Indiana Vision Expo on Saturday, September 28th, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (EDT). This year’s Expo will focus on the art of Hoosiers with vision loss. John Bramblitt, award-winning blind artist and author, will serve as keynote speaker. The Expo will also welcome visually-impaired artists from around the state who will be exhibiting their work.

Each year the Vision Expo hosts a wide variety of vendors and non-profit agencies that provide the latest in adaptive technology, independent living aids, and other resources for Hoosiers with vision loss. Visit for additional information and an updated list of our vendors and artists.

Lunch plans can be made at any of hundreds of dining options located within blocks of the State Library. Click here for an extensive map of nearby lunch and dinner options, as well as other local attractions. CJ’s Sweet Creations will also be selling lunch items and baked goods in the library’s seating area.

This year’s event will again be held in conjunction with the annual Foundation Fighting Blindness Indy VisionWalk, which will be held on the downtown canal adjoining the State Library at 9:30 AM with registration opening at 8:00 AM.

Special event parking will be available in the Indiana State Government Center's Senate Street Garage (map) for $5 per car. The garage MUST be accessed at the New York Street entrance. New York Street is a one way running east and can be accessed both north and south bound off West Street.

The State Library relies on the help of volunteers throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering for the Vision Expo, or other State Library programs and events, visit the State Library's volunteer webage.
