As of 07/09/09 the BMV Record Search application has changed. The information provided on this page details the changes to the BMV Record Search. Please make sure to read all of the following information before starting your search.
Due to the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), in order to access the BMV Records you must have an IN.gov Account. To sign up for an IN.gov Account click here. (http://www.IN.gov/accounts) All IN.gov Account users are granted 'Basic Access' to the BMV Records.
Notice: Personal Information in BMV Records will NOT be provided to IN.gov Accounts with 'Basic Access' only.
For a yearly subscription fee of $95 (which includes not just one - but ten (10) user names and passwords), you can access the BMV Vehicle Registration Search. Once the reason for your search is specified under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), records can be searched using the following criteria:
Search Options:
- Name and DOB and DLN
- Name and DOB and SSN
Information Displayed:
- Driver Status [License Type, Expire Date, Current Points, License Status, Remarks]
- Driver Record [Suspension, Disqualification, Convictions information]

Please complete and send in the signed IN.gov Account Agreement; it must include the real names and email addresses of all users.
