The Indiana State Excise Police are the law enforcement division of the Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission and are fully certified police officers with powers across the state of Indiana.  The primary mission of the agency is to provide professional and efficient law enforcement service with an emphasis on Indiana's alcohol & tobacco laws.

Persons interested in a career with the Indiana State Excise Police should review the basic applicant qualifications listed on our Employment Information page. If you meet the qualifications and would like to be notified when the next hiring process begins, complete and submit an Employment Notification Form.

The Indiana State Excise Police have announced plans to start a hiring process in August of 2015.  If you are interested in testing for a position as an Officer, please complete the Employment Notification form by the July 1, 2015 deadline.  Any information submitted after this date will not be considered for this process, but will be retained for future hiring processes.
