Information Technology

The I.T. Department manages all computerized processes within the Auditor's office, including:

  • The State Financial Management System - accounts payable, purchasing, general ledger, and payroll. Most vendors that do business with the State are paid through this system; all purchase orders must be encumbered on this system. Because the Auditor’s Office is the bookkeeper for the State, the Auditor’s general ledger system is the official ledger for the State.
  • Producing all W-2s and most 1099s for the state.
  • Providing financial and payroll reporting to State agencies.
  • Providing financial historical information; information available goes back to 1980 for vendor payment history and 1991 for payroll information. This service is heavily utilized by the news media, Legislature, other agencies, and the public for providing historical information.
