Don Snemis is a lifelong Hoosier originally from Merrillville, Indiana. A graduate of Ball State University and Notre Dame Law School, he practiced law for more than 25 years, at Ice Miller, LLP in Indianapolis. During that time he concentrated on business and environmental litigation in Indiana and around the country.
Governor Mike Pence appointed Don Snemis the next Commissioner of the of Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) on January 6, 2014 saying "Under Don Snemis' leadership, I am confident the Indiana BMV will work each day to identify innovative solutions, serve Hoosiers, and ensure fiscal integrity for Indiana taxpayers."
Don currently resides in Indianapolis with his wife Kimberly and their two sons.
