If you are applying for a new, renewed, amended, or duplicate driver's license, permit, or identification card before January 1, 2010, you must present a number of documents of identification.
New Identification Requirements For 2010
When you apply for a new, renewed, amended, or duplicate driver’s license, permit, or identification card after January 1, 2010, you must present original versions or certified copies of the following source documents:
- One document proving your identity; and
- One document proving your Social Security number; and
- One document proving your lawful status in the United States; and
- Two documents proving your Indiana residency.
