Indiana issues two different types of licenses that allow drivers to transport property or paying passengers: a chauffeur's license and a public passenger chauffeur's license.
A chauffeur's license allows a driver who is at least 18 years old to transport property but not paying passengers.
A public passenger chauffeur's license allows a driver who is at least 18 years old to transport paying passengers under certain conditions.
