Held at the Indiana University Art Museum & Bloomington Convention Center, this week is packed with events for chocolate lovers of all ages.
Whitewater Valley Antiques Show. Richmond, 765.962.5756, from February 9 - 10. Stay warm while shopping more than 50 vendors indoors at one of the area's most outstanding antique shows.
Kappa Alpha Theta Antique Show. Bloomington, 765.987.8318, from February 23 - 24. Annual tradition featuring fine antique dealers from around the region.
Charlestown State Park. Near Charlestown, 812.256.5600, is Indiana's third-largest state park. This birdwatchers haven is home to over 70 species including bluebirds, wild turkey and bald eagles. It also offers four challenging hiking trails and seasonal guided hikes and programs. Campsites are available.
Deam Lake State Recreation Area. Near Borden, 812.246.5421, offers hiking, camping and boating amenities. Additional activities available include mountain bike trails with connecting spurs to Clark State Forest bike trails and hunting in designated areas. Campsites are available.
Harmonie State Park. New Harmony, 812.682.4821, is located on the banks of the Wabash River. Hiking, biking and horseback riding (horse not included) trails lead visitors through ravine and pristine landscapes. The Nature Nook offers seasonal interpreters, hikes and programs. Cabins and campsites are available.
O'Bannon Woods State Park. Near Corydon, 812.738.8232, offers a full menu of activities. Hit the 24-mile Adventure Hiking Trail or try out the 75 miles of bridle trail (BYOH - Bring Your Own Horse). Canoe the Blue River or fish the Blue and Ohio Rivers. Tour historic Wyandotte Caves. Campsites are available.
Pokagon State Park. Near Angola, 260.833.2012, features a quarter-mile toboggan track at speeds of 35-40 miles per hour! The toboggan operates weekends from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February, with extended holiday hours. Campsites are available.
Starve Hollow State Recreation Area. Near Vallonia, 812.358.3464, offers some of the best fishing in southern Indiana. Bike over 12 miles of mountain bike trail. Hike the Tree ID Trail identifying 30 different types of trees. Hunting is also available in designated areas. Campsites are available.
