October is National Bullying Prevention Month

Bullying, once thought a rite of passage, is now seen as a devastating form of abuse that can have long-term effects on youthful victims.  It can rob them of self-esteem, isolate them from their peers, cause them to drop out of school, and even prompt health problems and suicide.
