The advanced firefighter certification courses such as Fire Officer I and II, Fire Instructor I and II and others are conducted, coordinated and sponsored by local fire departments, associations, or educational institutions.  Members of the fire service who desire this type of training should check the IDHS training calendar (view) for specific information and dates. 

This advanced fire training program does conduct and coordinate courses provided by the National Fire Academy within the State of Indiana.  In addition, the State conducts the “Indiana Weekend” at the Emmitsburg campus of the NFA.  Check the training calendar for details and courses offered.
