1. What is the new online sport licensing system?
License vendors will use the system to sell all licenses beginning with the 2005 licenses. This system will also replace the current online system and remove the extra fees currently associated with purchasing licenses online.

2. Why did you change to a new system?
The new system is a more efficient way to purchase licenses. All types of licenses will be available from any licensed vendor without fear of running short. Customers will also be able to register for HIP or check-in a deer or turkey through the system.

3. Which licenses will I be able to sell?
All hunting, trapping and fishing licenses, as well as stamps privileges, will be available to every authorized agent. Lifetime licenses are not available for sale.

4. Will I need a bond?
Bonds were formerly required to sell hunting, fishing or trapping licenses. This is no longer a requirement. When you are initially setup for the online system, we collect your bank account information so we can automatically debit you for your weekly license sales. Money collected for licenses sold will be collected on a weekly basis by means of an ACH transaction.

5. Will I need to pre-pay?
No. When you are initially setup for the online system, we collect your bank account information so we can automatically debit you for your weekly license sales. Money collected for licenses sold will be collected on a weekly basis by means of an ACH transaction.

6. How will I keep track of my sales?
The new system will have lots of great tools for you to use including sales volume reports, electronic invoicing and payment, and account maintenance.

7. What do I need to start using the new system?
The new system is available through a secure internet site so all you need is an internet connection and a computer near or at your cash register. We will be providing equipment for all license agents.

8. What if I don’t have a computer or Internet service?
We’re working on a plan that will help current agents with their technology needs. The final details haven’t been worked out but as soon as we figure out something that will be fair and affordable to everyone, we’ll let you know.

9. Will the paper licenses still be available?
Once an agent has been setup to use the new online system, all paper license stock must be returned. By spring 2005, every agent will be using the online system and paper licenses will no longer be used. License agents will keep 2004 paper stock and run in dual mode. 2005 will be purely online.

10. Will I receive a fee for selling from the new system?
Yes. Your agent fee will remain the same.

11. I have never sold hunting, fishing or trapping licenses. Can I do so now through this system and how do I start?
Initially, current vendors will be set up on the system through early 2005. However, if you are interested in selling licenses through the new online system, you can email us with your information and someone will get ahold of you with more information. Please email us by clicking here.
