The majority of the Indiana Forest Stakeholder Summit event concerned facilitation of stakeholder input regarding important issues for forests in Indiana, desired future forest condition and priority landscape areas.  This input will inform the Statewide Forest Assessment and Resource Strategy process.  Comments and additional input are appreciated and continue to be accepted at stateassessment@dnr.in.gov.

Much of the stakeholder input will help focus and guide the development of the Assessment.  Many comments related specifically to strategies that might be effective for particular forest issues.  Strategy related input will be reviewed again and incorporated as part of the Statewide Forest Resource Strategy development.  Direct responses to input were limited but attempts were made to identify potentially related data sets for incorporation into the Assessment analysis.
