Duration: 2 Days (12 to 16 hours)

Workshop Goals:

  1. Develop a network of facilitators committed to training other educators in the use of the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide through 6-hour basic workshops.
  2. Combine intensive hands-on coverage of the Guide provided in 6-hour basic workshops with additional presentations by experts in water resources management.

Facilitators will receive a handbook with instructIons on how to prepare teacher training workshops and certification to train other professionals. Those interested in becoming a facilitator should fill out a facilitator application form.

Project WET faciliator training is free. The participant will cover expenses for lodging, meals, and travel to the site.

A Project WET facilitator is responsible for organizing and conducting one 6-hour basic workshop per year.

Your assistance as a facilitator will help bring water education and water awareness to Indiana.

Graduate Credit

Graduate credit available for attending Project WET 6-hour teacher training workshop and two-day facilitator training workshop. From: Purdue University, Indiana State University, Ball State University, and Indiana University.
