Indiana's Natural, Scenic, and Recreational River System

The law that makes the scenic river system possible IC 14-29-6

There are only three streams in Indiana that have made it into the Natural, Scenic and Recreational River System. Back in the 1970s, 10 streams were considered for inclusion into the system.

Currently, only sections of Cedar Creek, Wildcat Creek, and the Blue River have been included into the Natural, Scenic, and Recreational River System. The exact sections of each stream and its designation can be found in Indiana Administrative Code 312 IAC 7
