Description of how an area with a water resource related problem may become its own municipality through this Act in order that they may resolve that problem. Conservancy Districts are formed to create a tax base to solve any of the following needs:

  • Flood Prevention and Control,
  • Improving Drainage,
  • Providing Irrigation,
  • Providing Water Supply,
  • Providing Wastewater Treatment Capabilities,
  • Developing Water-related Recreational Facilities,
  • Topsoil Loss Prevention,
  • Stream Flow Augmentation, and
  • Operation, Maintenance or Improvement of Any of the Above Pre-existing Facilities
