PURSUANT TO HB 1001 (ss)(2009), SEC. 495, “The Department of State Revenue shall conduct a study of the feasibility of changing the design and method for verifying, tracking, and tracing cigarette stamps (as defined in IC 6-7-1-9), including issues related to the use of electronic cigarette stamp readers, to incorporate the latest technical advances used by other states to reduce counterfeiting and misuse of cigarette stamps.”

The Indiana Department of Revenue holds this hearing to give interested parties the opportunity to contribute thoughts and materials to assist the Department in producing the aforementioned report.
