Madison Indiana Video Festival (MIVF) - June 8, 2009
Madison - The MIVF is an excellent opportunity for independent and new videographers to showcase their works and talent in a small-scale video festival.  In celebration of the Bicentennial, all videos must have been shot in or be about downtown historic Madison, Indiana.

 

Indianapolis International Film Festival - July 15-25, 2009
Indianapolis - Feature and shorts film festival for independent filmmakers that presents films that inform, enlighten, and educate the community by providing a vivid reflection of the rich cultural diversity of Indianapolis and the world beyond our doors.

 

Manhattan Short Film Festival - September 24-26, 2009
Bloomington - Each year MANHATTAN SHORT selects twelve short films from around the world and distributes them across five continents. During the course of one week, cinema audiences at each venue are asked to vote for their favorite short film. Votes from each venue are tabulated and sent through to MANHATTAN SHORT headquarters and the winner is announced after the last show in NYC on the last Sunday in September. This year marks the first time in the Festival’s history that all 50 states of the United States participate in the Festival.

 

Heartland Film Festival - October 15-23 2009
Indianapolis - Feature and shorts film festival for independent filmmakers that spans nine days and showcases student and professional films from around the world and recognizing filmmakers whose work explores the human journey by expressing hope and respect for the positive values in life. Earth House Film Series - Year Round
Indianapolis - The Earth House Collective is a group of peace activists, conservationists, artists, musicians, Methodists, teachers and many more dedicated to peace, wellness, community and culture on the corner of New York and East streets in downtown Indianapolis.  We are having monthly screenings of Indiana independent film through the Earth House Film Forum.  We accept entries from all genres and budget size including but not limited to shorts, features, experimental and documentary.  The submissions are reviewed by the Earth House Collective Film Committee and are selected based on:  artistic merit, representation of diverse communities, storyline, social awareness and responsibility, availability of the filmmaker to attend and collaborate with other filmmakers.  Please note:  there is no entry fee for your submission as we honor artists for the work and our aim is to celebrate your work and create a community of filmmakers to connect and create. 
Submission Requirements:
1.  Printed & Signed Submission Form for download at http://earthhousecollective.org/film.html.
2.  One region-free DVD of the film submitted for selection & viewing purposes.
3.  Additional page with director's statement and synopsis of film.

5.  Film must have been made in Indiana or by an Indiana director.
