New! Changes in the Review and Processing of Benefits

If you have just received a letter from FSSA about a change in the review and processing of your Food Stamp, Cash Assistance and Medicaid case beginning in August 2009, please refer to the following information:

  • This change was designed to make it easier for you to continue your benefits. An interview for your benefits will only have to happen once every year instead of once every 6 months.
  • With the change in interviews to once every year, we must have you complete a new form called an “Interim Contact Form”. As noted in the letter you received, this form will be sent to you in the 5th month of your certification period. This form needs completed and signed.
  • THE INTERIM CONTACT FORM IS DUE BACK TO FSSA IN THE 6TH MONTH OF YOUR CERTIFICATION PERIOD.
  • You will receive a notice in August 2009 of a change in your certification period. This notice will also explain more about the Interim Contact Form

If you have further questions, please call us at 1-800-403-0864.
